To Ambassadors of: Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece
Your Excellency,
We would like you to convey the need to think thoroughly before eventual recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independent Kosovo and correlated deep consideration of Serb people. Considering the fact that your countries are in the same region, you are probably aware of the importance of Kosovo and Metohija for Serb people and their determination to defend it.
Your eventual recognition of the independent Kosovo would be destabilization act for the whole region with the possible reflection to your countries too. Serb people would consider this act as a highly hostile. During that process of recognition and non-recognition of Kosovo the ones who are pro at contra international law will be distinguished, and our nation would recognize its friends and enemies. In that sense it would be normal that Serbs would build alliances and friendly relations with their friends in economic, political, cultural and military manner. In order to avoid future conflicts, we suggest that UN organizes an international conference on the topic of Balkans, and on it declare which nations have the right to self-determination, in which territorial principles, and on which legal principles is that right based.
We would like to inform you that, after we have seen that Albanian national minority in Kosovo is preparing independence declaration, which means a defeat to Serbs as a constitutional nation, our movement has started an initiative to separate republic of Srpska from the imposed BiH. This separation is to be based on the results of a referendum, and we have already gathered 50 000 signs from RS citizens who support this idea. If Albanian minority is to declare independence of Kosovo, we demand from National Assembly to declare Republic of Srpska independent.
By this letter we would like to express our wishes for peace and good will among all people.
