President, PM, Mufti send Christmas greets

President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Serbian Mufti Muhamed Jusufspahic on Jan. 5, wished the Serbian Orthodox Church and the believers a Merry Christmas.

“May you spend this great holiday in peace and prosperity, with your family and friends. Peace from God, Christ is Born,” Tadic said in a greeting.

The prime minister wished Patriarch Irinej, clergy and the faithful much luck this year. “I wish that family gatherings during the holiday bring joy, love and peace into your homes and that the upcoming year brings much personal and family happiness, health, success and progress,” said Cvetkovic.

Mufti Jusufspahic also wished the patriarch and Orthodox believers a Merry Christmas.

“On the occasion of the great Christian holiday, in the name of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community of Serbia and my personal name, I wish the Serbian Orthodox Church dignitaries, clergy and all believers a Merry Christmas, wishing that you spend the holiday in joy, peace and wellbeing,” the mufti said in a greeting.
