Serbian Diaspora acted united against unilateral proclamation of Kosovo independence. In more than 50 towns in the world the Serbs yesterday protested peacefully against illegal secession of Kosovo, Serbian world congress announced.

More than 8,000 Serbs yesterday gathered in a peaceful protest ‘For law and justice’ downtown Vienna. Protests also took place in front of the EU institutions in Belgium, France, Denmark, and in the cities of The Hague, Melbourne, Toronto and London.
In several German cities Serbs also protested peacefully. In Hamburg about 1,000 people took part in the protest. In Geneva, in front of the UN principle office about 8,000 Serbs protested.
Several hundreds of Serbs living in Cyprus yesterday gathered in a Russian church in Limassol attending service for salvation of Kosovo.
Yesterday’s protest in Ljubljana has been postponed in respect of former Slovenia president Janez Drnovsek who died the day before yesterday.
In Moscow’s Victory square about a thousand of CP Russia supporters protested against independent Kosovo.
Protests were also held in Athens. The protester’s message to Greek Government was not to recognize Kosovo.
Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico warned yesterday that ‘by recognition of Kosovo the international law would be violated’.
‘If this rough mistake in the international law is not corrected, we cannot proceed with recognition of Kosovo since we reject unilateral proclamation’, he said.

Kostunica: USA to annul recognition of Kosovo
Serbia Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica yesterday called on the United States of America to annul decision on the recognition of Kosovo and Metohija independence.
‘The USA should annul the decision on recognition of the false state in the territory of Serbia and make possible for the UN Security Council to confirm validity of the Resolution 1244 that guarantees the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia’, Kostunica told Tanjug news agency.
