Bosnia’s war crimes court has acquitted a former Bosnian Serb prime minister and two other suspects of crimes against humanity committed during the 1992-95 war.

The court said Friday that Gojko Klickovic, along with suspects Mladen Drljaca and Jovan Ostojic, was accused of having taken part in the organized expulsion and imprisonment of non-Serb civilians and prisoners in northwest Bosnia but the evidence prosecutors had submitted during the trial was insufficient.

Klickovic served as prime minister of the Serb mini-state, created after the 1995 Dayton peace agreement divided Bosnia along ethnic lines.

He stepped down in 1998 when charges were raised against him and fled to neighboring Serbia. Serbian police arrested him in 2006 and he was extradited back to Bosnia in 2007.
