Israel’s Embassy in Belgrade announced that an agreement on abolishing visas between Serbia and Israel came into force on Tuesday.
According to the Monday press release, the citizens of Serbia with national passports are exempted from visa obligation for visits and stays in Israel of up to three months.
The agreement was signed during the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to Serbia and both parties have ratified it.
The agreement is a confirmation of good relations between the two countries both at the governmental level and between the two peoples.
The abolition of visas should result in significant increase in the number of tourists as well as in the volume of economic activity, it was stated in the release.
