One of Moscow's parks has turned into a realm of ice and snow, officially known as the Kingdom of Snow, boasting a selection of ice sculptures and a variety of activities to entertain thousands of visitors.
The display of frozen statues will give the guests a taste of a real winter fairytale.
The project celebrates the 100th anniversary of Russian animation. So, kids and adults will be able to watch their favorite animated cartoons and even find some of the characters made from ice while walking through a snow maze.
The Kingdom of Snow, aka MultiGrad, is scheduled to open this Sunday in the capital's Kuzminki Park where visitors will also have a chance to skate, if they get tired of walking.
On the opening night on December 30, ice sculptors will show off their skills in a contest called "A Wild Saw: Masterpiece in an Hour". Afterwards visitors will be invited to watch a performance of "The Snow Queen" on the skating ring.
