EU to scrutinize Serbia about anything

Serbia was told by the European Union officials that it will be scrutinized about anything it does in order to examine whether Serbia behaves sufficiently good enough to deserve the official candidate status.

“As an applicant country, Serbia is expected to embrace European values and coordinate with European diplomatic missions in third countries,” EU enlargement commissioner Stefan Fule said in Brussels.

EU warning about scrutiny of Serbia about anything comes after Serbia decided not to take part in an award ceremony of the Chinese “dissident” Liu Xiaobo who is being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

“The months to come will be decisive for Serbia’s advance towards its European Union membership. We’ll look with a magnifying glass at every action Serbia takes,” Fule said.

Fule said the EU is disappointed in Serbia’s decision not to participate in the Nobel Peace prize ceremony.

EU also told Serbia that it must accept EU’s policy on Kosovo during the upcoming “dialog” between Belgrade and the violent Albanian separatists in Kosovo.

Majority of EU states demand that Serbia accepts its territorial dismemberment and to recognize the one-sided decision by the violent Albanian separatists.

EU also wants that the ethnic Serbs, who are routinely victimized by the Albanian separatists, participate in separatist “elections” in order to lend legitimacy to the illegal separatist authorities.
