Outgoing chairman of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a Bosnian Muslim, Haris Silajdzic, called praised the emir of Kuwait saying that the “world of today is full of troubles and in need of wise men such as His Highness the Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.”

“Amir is an example to follow in wisdom, balanced views and great insight into the international politics,” Silajdzic said.

Kuwaiti Islamic charities have long established bases in Bosnia. ISlamic charities are often used as launching pads for Islamic terror.

“During the meeting I’ve told Ambassador Al-Khalaf that the Bosnian people and government held in high esteem HH the Amir for his constant support particularly at times of hardship,” Silajdzic said.

Ambassador Al-Khalaf briefed Silajdzic on Kuwait’s foreign policy with regard to the aid for friendly countries with emphasis on the International Donors and Investors Conference for East Sudan, which concluded in Kuwait on Thursday.

“Under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, the State of Kuwait plays a leading role in helping the needy countries. On their part, the Bosnian firms are ready to engage in the reconstruction of Sudan in coordination with Kuwait,” Silajdzic said.

The Bosnians look forward to working with the Kuwaitis in all domains with a view to serving the common interests of the two countries,” he said.

“The State of Kuwait was among the first countries which backed and recognized the independence of BiH at the United Nations. Kuwait backs up the economic recovery in the developing countries through writing off their debts, thus providing an example to be followed by the other rich countries,” Silajdzic said.
