An explosive device was thrown at the house of the Serbian family Stojkovic in the village of Zvecan, in the north of the province, early on Monday and comes only days after explosive was thrown on a house owned by a Serb in Kosovska Mitrovica’s ethnically mixed quarter of Bosnjacka Mahala.

An explosive device was thrown at the house of the Serbian family Stojkovic in Zvecan but nobody was injured in the attack.

Albanian separatist police spokesman Besim Hoti confirmed no injuries.

Hoti said that the storefront of a shop, which is a part of the house, was damaged in the explosion that took place shortly after midnight.

This is the third explosive device attack on the house of the family Stojkovic.

Albanian separatist police dispatched their “special units” for bomb identification and disposal and regional investigative unit have been notified about the incident and are currently examining the site, Hoti said and added that the explosive device is probably a hand grenade.

Last week, a similar explosive device was thrown on the garage owned by a Kosovo Serb in Kosovska Mitrovica’s ethnically mixed quarter of Bosnjacka Mahala.

Nobody was hurt but the owner’s car was damaged.

The attack was attributed to “unknown assailants” and police is investigating.

Serbs in Kosovo are routinely attacked as the Albanian Muslims in the province seek to make Kosovo an ethnically and religiously pure Albanian Muslim state.
